How well do you understand fintech? Are they technology stocks or are they financial stocks?
Jay Jacobs, senior vice president and head of research and strategy at Global X ETF’s says they’re a little bit of both.
” They tend to be mixed in, and if you look at broad market indexes that are looking at specific sectors, or the S&P 500, they get a very small weight due to their market caps, so they just fall through the cracks in a lot of ways, and people haven’t really picked up on them, in the same way that they’ve picked up on maybe traditional banks and credit card companies,” he said.
“I do think that creates a big opportunity for these stocks?”
